Windows cannot be installed to this disk the selected disk is of the gpt partition style

If you are facing the same issue then you have the MBR bootable device and your hard drive is GPT partition style.

You have to follow some steps and your problem solved.

  • To Check The Hard-Drive Partition Status GPT or MBR
  1. Click on Start 


  1. Search CMD and Run As Administrator
  2. Enter the command "diskpart" and wait a second to load.
  3. Enter the command "list disk" their you get all the partition information.


  • To make GPT bootable media for format the system.
  1. Go the google and search Rufus software you get it in the first search of google.
  2. open the rufus application.
  3. Select the windows file that you have to format  form your local computer.
  4. Select Partition Scheme GPT or MBR.
  5. Click on start to make bootable device.
  6. Now you are able to format the system with correct partition scheme bootable device.
